Self Catering Accommodation, in an idyllic rural location..
Welcome to Oakwrights..
Our intimate, self contained barn conversion was renovated and completed in December 2015. We focused our efforts on creating a warm and inviting accommodation, completely separate to the main residence.
On arrival you will receive a friendly greeting by either Lorna or Noel. After helping with your bags, we will take you to your private accommodation which is positioned directly behind the entrance gate to the property.
On entering you will find a large open plan sitting room with two sofas facing a TV in the corner. As you walk in the Kitchen is positioned ahead of you on the left. It is compact and has all the mod cons required including a fridge-freezer, oven, microwave, electric hob, washing machine and dishwasher.
The bedroom area is located towards the back and offers some privacy if you choose to draw the curtain. We have also installed a new bathroom, complete with an enclosed Shower, WC & Basin. Fresh Linen and towels will be supplied. The room is equipped with free WIFI for those who want to stay connected with the world outside of Oakwrights.
The two sofas also fold out into beds and can be used accordingly to comfortably accommodate two more guests. (up to four guests in total)
A breakfast hamper is also available on request. Fresh home baked bread, home made hash browns, our own free range eggs from Oakwrights, home made marmalade, butter, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and fresh orange juice is proving to be a hit amongst guests. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided with a jug of fresh milk in the fridge.
Although positioned only a 10 minute drive from Chelmsford, our aim is to slow down time and offer up an environment that will give you a much needed break from the ongoing pressures of everyday life. We will also equip you with information on lovely local restaurants, family run pubs, tea rooms and walking trails including the Essex Way that exist on your door step.
